Dear Fellow Virtual Assistant,

I wish I could be there with you as you begin this journey of self-discovery, because that's what this book is all about. It's about finding out not only who your ideal client is, but who you are and how you can be the perfect VA for that person. It is about practical tips on how and where to look for that person. It is about looking at things a bit differently than you have before. And it is about being unique - realizing that your business is totally different than any other person's. You are unique and special - and that makes your business unique and special. Find your own way, what works for you, and that's the way for you to do it. I wish you well through your journey.

To Your Success,

About the Author

Hi! I'm Vickie Turley and I am the founder and owner of a virtual assistance business called A Balanced Alternative, dedicated to supporting and encouraging extraordinary consultants; and Mentoring Matters, a mentoring business designed specifically for VAs who are ready to collaborate with a peer to help them build their steps to success their way!

I live in Western Kentucky with my husband, Rocky, and my "baby", Toot (half Yorkie, half Maltese). Rocky and I have four grown boys and four granddaughters. And I am in love with my life!

I was the previous co-owner of The VA Blueprint, a coaching and mentoring service, and that's where I discovered my passion for mentoring. Through that phase of my life, I began to understand that as entrepreneurs, we tend to do everything all on our own. And I found the importance of having a team around you - those who would serve as guides and teachers and cheerleaders and peer support in our quest for our true calling. I was already living my passion as a Virtual Assistant, and now I felt the same passion for mentoring. My fellow colleagues even told me, "Vickie, you have a real gift for mentoring." Before then, it had never entered my mind, but the more people mentioned it to me, the more I realized this was a gift I had been given. And I am a strong believer of using your gifts.

And now I've been giving this amazing opportunity to share what I've learned in the entrepreneurial business about relationships. They can be whatever you make them; but I know for sure they can be wonderful if you are true to yourself and your client is true to you. You will have a relationship for life.
