Meet VickieVickie Turley - Virtual Assistant
My name is Vickie Turley and I am the founder and owner of
A Balanced Alternative.
I live in Western Kentucky with my husband, Rocky, and my "baby", Toot (half Yorkie,
half Maltese). Rocky and I have four grown boys - Cory, Patrick, Chris and Ryan.
Needless to say, it's been a wild ride!
My beginning in the "virtual" world came about after spending more than 25 years in
the outside workforce. Most of my titles included Administrative Assistant or Executive
Secretary. I was a highly sought-after employee and continuously expanded my fields of
knowledge by taking training courses, attending seminars and keeping up-to-date on the
latest industry trends and technologies. Throughout the years, I've maintained close
friendships with many past employers. In 2005, after a lengthy health problem, I decided
to find a way to continue to work while tending to my personal well-being at the same
time. I happened upon the term "virtual assistant" and have never looked back.
In 2007, I had the opportunity to redefine my goals and aspirations. I felt I needed to focus
more on my unique talents and gifts and, after many months of thinking, planning, and researching,
decided to change my company name and niche. As Elite Virtual Assistants, I enjoyed working with
numerous clients, concentrating my efforts in the transcription field. Now, as founder of
A Balanced Alternative as well as the
co-owner/founder of The VA Blueprint with
Suzanne Evans, I am able to provide a more
rounded experience to each client by incorporating my supportive and uplifting spirit in all I do.
